Hi, First of all you should uninstall the free trial version of Office 365 on your new computer. Has the deactivate/reinstall option been removed or is it still possible to do? I don't really want to buy Office again because the laptop I was using on it failed and I don't want to be using an online-based service as I often work without an internet connection. It does not prompt me to deactivate an installation or give me a non-online based option. (And itself has a Download Office button which just links me back to my Microsoft Account). If I click 'Install' beside the purchase, it goes through an install process, but appears to give me an online-based version which tells me I have no recent Online Documents and has links to One Drive and Teams etc.

Reading the Microsoft Help Files implies you can "Deactivate Install" and then reinstall Office on a new device, but nowhere can I find instructions on how to actually do this or the Deactivate Install option though I can view my purchase and the key in my Microsoft Account. On the old PC I had Office 2016 as a one-time purchase, since I often work offline and was unsure that a 365 subscription would let me do so. Following the failure of my PC, I have bought a new one.
